What is a motion makeover?
A motion makeover rebuilds an existing website with scroll-driven and cinematic motion that shows what the business does. Your domain and the content that still works stay. The design, the code and the speed are new.
How much does a website redesign cost in Santa Cruz?
A Motion Refresh costs $2,500 for up to 3 pages. A Motion Site costs $5,000 for up to 6 pages. A Signature site starts at $7,500 for up to 12 pages with custom scroll or 3D motion. Other Santa Cruz studios publish web builds from about $5,000 to $10,000 and up. Projects start with a 50% deposit.
How long does a website makeover take?
A Motion Refresh takes about 2 weeks, a Motion Site 3 to 4 weeks, and a Signature site 5 to 6 weeks, counted from the deposit. The schedule is agreed in writing before work starts.
Will animation slow my site down?
Not when it is built well. Local/Current sites show the page first and load motion after it, and they are tested against Google's mobile speed score before launch. Visitors who turn motion off on their phone get a still version.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes. You get a short recorded walkthrough of how to change text, photos and hours. Bigger changes are covered by the hours in a care plan, or billed at $125 an hour.
Do I need a care plan?
No. The care plan is optional. You own the site and can host and maintain it yourself or with anyone you choose.
